the questions people ask
The allowlist mints its first pack free — 1 cat, once per wallet, while supply lasts (no reserved allotment: the free cats come out of the same 3300). Check any address with the checker on the mint page — no wallet needed.
Not on it? Spots drop for wallets that make noise on @hoodiecatsxyz — follow, interact, get picked. That's the whole trick.
Fine print, all of it: the free claim and the paid mint run at the same time — no separate windows — until your voucher's deadline. Selling the cat doesn't reset the claim — once is once. And your free one counts toward the 100-per-wallet mint cap, so plan accordingly.
Into the raffle pool. All of it — from every road. Our marketplace takes 2.5% of every sale; sales on any other marketplace (OpenSea etc.) pay the 5% royalty, which is wired to the same treasury at the contract level. Every 5 days the entire pool is raffled to one holder, then it starts filling again.
Your odds come from what you hold. Each cat is worth points by rarity tier — common 10, uncommon 15, rare 20, epic 25, legendary 30 — and your entries are your total points divided by 10, rounded down. 1 common cat = 1 entry. 1 legendary = 3 entries. 2 commons + 1 epic = 45 points = 4 entries. No cap.
Fairness: at the end of each round we snapshot holdings and publish the full (address, entries) list plus its merkle root, so anyone can check it against chain state. The draw is weighted by entries — verifiable randomness (Chainlink VRF if available on Robinhood Chain, otherwise commit-reveal with the seed hash published BEFORE the snapshot). Winner takes the whole pot. During the mint phase pools may be small; they pay out anyway.
Because it's cheaper for you, and the pot wins either way. Our marketplace charges a flat 2.5% and waives the creator royalty at the contract level — that's the whole bill. Everywhere else the standard 5% royalty applies, and it goes straight to the raffle treasury.
Sell here: keep more. Sell there: feed the pot harder. Both roads end at the same raffle — that's the design, not an accident.
Into the token war chest — a treasury completely separate from the raffle pool. Pack sales fund a future token that will be airdropped to holders. Free allowlist claims put 0 in the chest — the list is a gift, not revenue.
There is no set date yet. When the token launches, every holder receives it.
Unit reference price: 0.00099 ETH. Bigger pack, bigger discount. Prices are owner-tunable on-chain and the mint page always shows the live values, so the sticker never lies:
| pack size | price | per cat | discount |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 0.00099 ETH | 0.00099 ETH | -0% |
| 2 | 0.0019 ETH | 0.00095 ETH | -4% |
| 3 | 0.002732 ETH | 0.00091 ETH | -8% |
| 4 | 0.003484 ETH | 0.000871 ETH | -12% |
| 5 | 0.004207 ETH | 0.000841 ETH | -15% |
The single pack is the reference price — discounts start at the 2-pack and grow to 15% on the 5-pack.
Marketplace fee: 2.5% of every sale — it feeds the raffle pool (see above). Owner-adjustable, hard-capped at 10% in the contract.
Creator royalty: 5.0% via ERC-2981, honored on-chain (capped at 10% no matter what the collection claims). Also owner-adjustable.
Seller proceeds use pull payments: sales credit a pending() balance you withdraw from your portfolio.

It's an Arbitrum Orbit L2 that settles to Ethereum.
There is no seed, no separate reveal step and nobody choosing what you get. When you mint, the contract draws your cat's artwork on-chain, in that same transaction, at random from whatever art is still unclaimed — and pins it to your token forever (artOf(tokenId)).
The draw uses a lazy shuffle (Fisher-Yates), so it's a perfect permutation: every artwork comes out exactly once, no repeats, no collisions. You see your cat the instant you rip the pack.
All 3,300 artworks are public from the start — what's random is which one lands in your wallet, not the art itself. Straight up: Robinhood Chain has no VRF, so this is best-effort randomness. A determined bot minting through its own contract could compute the draw in-block — but for everyone minting normally, what you pull is unpredictable until the tx lands.

The raffle pool contract lands after launch; until then the fee treasury runs rounds manually with published snapshots.
